Walmart South called. They want to bring me in for an interview on Monday. I dunno if I should be excited or dreading in fear.

To be fair though? The Walmart's aren't full of careless assholes like others. And I know Aunt Julita would hang her employees if they treated me like the Expendable New Guy.jo

I also went job hunting. That went well. For the most part.

Sent out my application to several places this morning. Rusty Pelican, East Side Marios, Chartwells in the College, etc.

Let's hope this works. Tomorrow I go out to Red Deer for reals and hunt around.

Also, I need my paycheck gdi.

Why in the seven hells are all of the jobs on jobbank.ca labeled "to be negotiated" when you look at the pay? I mean, can't they list payment or at least a general ballpark? No, it has to be negotiate. It makes me worry really, since I wouldn't want to move out to say Wetaskiwin and then discover I'm only making 10 bucks an hour.

Job hunting, it's going to wreck me I swear.

So the races go on for today, and it's raining out there. Like just impending to pour since it's coming down fairly steadily. Hopefully JT and I'll show up and then they'll be all "Well we're not going to race today." and we'll be all "Woot free money!" Yeah, if we show up and they cancel, then they have to pay us.

With any luck. I honestly did not expect the rain to start coming down like whoa.

Hnn, it's 11. I should get going. Gotta pick up JT and get there by 11:30. Not going to attempt setting up but hopefully that Hugh guy will be there.

ETA: WOO free day! And I got paid for it too cause we showed up! Time of notice from the Fed: 10 minutes to 12 and we were all set up for the day. Thus, full days pay.

So I got up this morning, dragged myself to the shower, went out without breakfast, got myself a paper, went to McDonalds for brunch and read over it.

When did all of the classifieds start stating "Don't call us, we'll call you"?

I've emailed and faxed as many applications as one could humanly go through. I must have gone through 20 faxes alone. The paperwork must weigh a pound. As such, I've got some marginal hopes for this situation.

On a note of things, it's fucking freezing out there. Why the FUCK is my brother having the door open and the ceiling fan on? Bonkers I tell you.

On the gamefront, I need to play more Johto. I keep forgetting geography and stuff and asdf. Whatever. S'what Serebii is for.

It's fucking cold in the house. And my brother's probably having his girly hot flashes.

Fuck.

Current Mood: apathetic

I know it sounds like a lame excuse, but bad weather has driven me indoors all week. From snowstorms to hail, it's been one thing after another. I'm almost afraid to go outside lest I run into a thunderstorm rolling over the way.

As such, job hunting has been restricted to local sources, while internet applications help with the rest of the job search. Reddeerjobshop.ca has been more than enough for me to find new places, though there's a ton of construction work too.

Well, we'll see how things pan out.

Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth it, busting my ass to find a job. But then I remind myself, I am flat broke. I really gotta go into Red Deer and find a job there too, but I woke up feeling like a lead weight. Maybe I should skip it today.

On FFXIII I need to play it again. It's not to say that I want Sazh to wake up again, but I haven't finished a FF game since X-2 and I really wanna see how this plays out. Also, Vanille's hentai squeaks are hilarious.

The interview went well. Considering that it was fairly free form, and I'll know either way by next week if I'm hired or not, then we'll see what happens.

Till then, onward and upward.

I've got a job interview for Friday at the local movie theater. I'm going to have to lose the beard but it's best to go in clean shaven at any rate. Also, I spent about an hour making Hayate Icons which I'll upload to the icon journal soon along with some more Yuu stuff.

But yes, I love this icon so much. It's a multi-tiered design and I think it came out wonderfully.
