... on how Beasties/Beast Wars season 3's two part ender can make someone contemplative.

Most people argue that Beasties doesn't fit in with G1 Transformers, having been set in primal Earth. But if you think about it, everything has come full circle with the actions in Beasties. For instance, in season 1, the Vok took the form of Unicron to convey that the experiment was a failure. Most people think "what experiment" but then realize later on in season 3 that the experiment was type of paradigm shift in probability. Since it was primal Earth, the fact of things being changed wrought negatively on the Vok and they sought to correct the problems at hand. Also, it's interesting that the Axalon and the companion ship of the Predacons crash-landed in what would have been North America, just scant miles away from the Ark itself.

The Book of Primus, appearing in the end of the series was a nice touch, giving it a whole biblical feel to the storyline. Self-fulfilling prophesy as it were, affecting the past so that people like the original Megatron couldn't affect the storyline thus far. It's likely that they ripped the spark away from Megatron of the original and thus, also possibly creating the complete unhingement of him against anything natural, as a anger towards Earth which had foiled the plans thus far. Also, the time shift could have helped. Who knows how long he was drifting in Transwarp and that could have affected his sanity as well.

Cheetor too also tended to become the major focus of many a storyline, creating the foundation of his very being in Beast Machines. In Beast Machines, he was forced to take up the role that Optimus had left behind when the big ape went nuts from being spoken to by a tainted Oracle.

Nemesis also provided a huge problem as well. In G1, we see neither hide nor hair of this legendary flagship, with the Decpticons focusing all of their attention on the Ark or gathering Energon for an ailing world. Ridding the world of Nemesis prevented the possible win-condition from being created in G1 as well.

It's very interesting when you actually begin to read into the storyline. The Vok, possible evolutions of the Quintesons or at least some form of them, the Predicon Tribunal being descended from Unicron's Heralds, the list goes on. More and more I want to dabble in this universe and the more complex it tends to get on me.
