... did I sleep long or what?
Oddest thing today. I went to bed at around midnight feeling completely exhausted to the bone. Then I woke up at 9:30 this morning. Normally, that's enough to get me going so I get up and fix myself a brunch of pasta and roast. You know, a varient of steak and speghetti.
Twenty minutes later, I'm back in bed, completely knocked out. I think it was the carbohydrate overload that did it. I notice that if I eat way too much carbs and even too much meat, I fall asleep. It was a condition I suffered from back in high school when I worked at McDonalds and ate there every day. If I ingested a lot of carbs or meat or a mix of both in a single day, WHAM. Out like a light. It got to the point where I couldn't even eat there because I was driving and in danger of collapsing in exhaustion.
For now, I think I'm gonna experiment. Go with more veggies, cut down the rice and pasta and go with a slice and a half of meat. It's not going to kill me, but I'd SURE like to be awake for most of the morning as per normal instead of sleeping till 9:30 and then sleeping from 10 to 1:15.
