So not the Drama...
May. 8th, 2005 05:29 pm... for So the Drama.
While the movie is awesome and it provides a great cap for the Kim Possible series, the extended DVD isn't much to look at. Honestly it leaves nothing out, but it has a distinct problem when labeling it an Extended Version.
In comparison to both TV air and the DVD, the only thing different is Kim and Ron's infiltration of The Bermuda Triangle club. Between the amusing Ron-like antics of the electrical fence, the little jellyfish mechas and the clamshells with the weapon turrets, it's similar. It extends their infiltration which helps explain why Kim doesn't have a air tank when she, Ron and Rufus clambers out of the sea. Although the extended Kim-Shego fight was extended and that made up for the lack of smackdown in the last fifteen minutes or so.
On other notes of extended and uncut, Fullmetal Alchemist Volume 1 is way cool. It proves that it's an awesome series, although Team State Alchemists is defunct and renamed to Team Red Deer. I'm going to regionals if I can.
I have almost achieved the impossible when hunting down new and unique DVDs. I came across a copy of Batman Beyond : Return of the Joker Uncut and Unedited. It's so much more BRUTAL than it's cut theme and feels more like a Bond movie with the butt kicking action of Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Speaking of Jackie Chan, weap O Men and Women of KidsWB watching. YTV has Jackie Chan Adventures Season 5, and is airing all of it. And most likely, we'll get a season six for YTV. Mwahahahahahahaha. Suckers.
Tapestry is currently taking up most of my time. With the exception of the occasional nudge from DCD Fanboy Ryan *tazers DCD Fanboy Ryan*, I'm editing Chapter 1 of Tapestry. There's a couple of errors here and there that I caught yesterday. And surprise, surprise, I came up with an idea for a Kim Possible crossover with Yu-Gi-Oh. I just had to CRINGE at the horrible excuses for YGO crossovers in the Cartoon Crossover section and damnit, I'll make my own.
On the note of crossovers, Nate Grey has created The Invasion Interlude, a Lilo and Stitch-Kim Possible crossover. Way cool. Also found a fun Batman Beyond fic, although I can't remember the first few words, "The Yo-Yo Sisterhood". Sort of a post Return of the Joker fic that involves Ras Al Ghul and a newly young Harley Quinn. The words "The sight of Harley Quinn in full costume, bouncing along on a pogo stick" sent me into hystarics of laughter.
Boingy, boingy, boingy!
In the Justice League section, I found an awesome This Little Piggy AU that has Circe forcing Bats to reveal his identity. It cumilates in a party that has Batman being forced out of costume and showing that he has 50 teammates who would take up his mantle for him. Booster Gold in Batman togs. The fun is just beginning.
I also need to pick up Static Shock : The New Kid and Teen Titans Volume 1 from Musicworld. 14.99 Baybee for 6 episodes. That's half a season! Yay! I also got my copy of Kim Possible : So the Drama from Musicworld. Gotta love people who ignore the release dates. ^_^ Although Gorilla Fist was NOTHING like I thought it would be. It was presumed it was a big nasty Ron-Monkey Fist-Rufus showdown. Instead, we have Fist hiding from Gorilla Fist. Who turns out to be DNAmy who altered her hands and feet into Gorilla limbs. Kind of fitting really. Now they make a nice matched pair, although Monkey Fist is COMPLETELY wigged out by the whole senario.
The geek within me soars. It must be the coolness of the week doing it.
