I'm on a Midgar Diaries Roll...
... with MORE humiliation! This time with 50% extra Aeris!
The first thing Aeris noticed was the dizzying sense of near-weightlessness.
Well, actually that would be a misnomer for the most part as she wiggled her arms experimentally. Fingers responded quite nicely but there was the whole “hanging from the ceiling” bit that unnerved her a little.
It figures, thought Aeris to herself. There would be something like this happening when we all got captured.
On the upside note, she was under little guard, a guard here and there patrolling the area and occasionally peeking up Aeris’ skirt. Making a note to kill all of the guards with her mind and then immediately reigning in her murderous intent since one of them started to froth and bubble down below, she wiggled her fingers experimentally.
“Odd,” she muttered to herself. “You’d think that my arms would have pulled themselves out of their sockets by now or my wrists would have gone bloody or fingers numb.”
“I think it’s because we’re suspended from a Float spell,” remarked a voice to the side and Aeris craned her neck around her arms to peer at Yuffie who was hanging along side her, and of course, upside down. The ninja girl looked distinctly red in the face from the blood rushing to it, but at least she was clothed, which was better than nothing since the last time she saw Yuffie.
“Wait, aren’t you supposed to have escaped and masqueraded as a reporter?” asked Aeris curiously.
“I would have,” said Yuffie, pouting. “IF I hadn’t been hanging upside down and naked when Shinra stormed in. At least Hojo didn’t get a hold of me since he seems to like his female specimens naked.”
“Ah. Well, at least we’re not being set up for an experiment then,” said Aeris. “Um, we’re NOT, right? Or say being offered as a meal to some big monster?”
“Meal I can handle,” said Yuffie flippantly. “Cloud didn’t get all of my materia and I didn’t let that perv Sephiroth from getting Cloud to reach between my legs . I think I have a Break materia and a mastered Enemy Skill in here somewhere and since I have the majority of my clothing, I think I’m good to go.”
“That’s good then,” said Aeris. “Any ideas on how to escape?”
“Oh that’s easy,” said Yuffie and she made a gagging noise before grinning a red glittering grin.
Two seconds later, half of Shinra Tower’s R and D section in Junon was blown out with tremendous force as Aeris and Yuffie rode a Knight of the Round each into sweet, sweet freedom.
Oh, and for those inclined to know, I'm already done college for this year so it's straight work and fic writing from here-on in. For the most part. I'm bound to be distracted by something shiny sooner or later.
