NO! For the Love of Ra, NO!

Tis a sad day in Yu-Gi-Oh History. 4Kids has licenced Yu-Gi-Oh DMGX and has intentions of airing it alongside the already running series.

What makes this terrifying is what they said in the soundclip of their press release/conference call.

"Yu-Gi-Oh DMGX will be aired alongside the current running series."

That in itself isn't bad. Now here's the clincher.

"It tells of the adventures of a new incarnation of the King of Games 100 years in the future present day."

Now THAT needs to be corrected. It's no more than two years after YGO DM. Hell, Yuki Judai runs headlong into an older Yugi. And we're talking not too old, more like two years or so. He's grown to Atemu height and has a voice similar to Atemu's pitch but that's IT.

I'm sure people who sees the dub only will assume that Yuki is Atemu reincarnated. I can see a stance against this.

Looking at it from a perspective, it took Atemu three to five thousand years to reincarnate the FIRST time. How the heck does it take less than a tenth of that time to reincarnate into Yuki? I don't think so Tim. Besides, Yuki shows NO signs of being possessed by said Pharoah. Atemu's story is done and over with as with Yugi's.

All of this, and WolfPackProductions is NOT doing YGO DMGX on the grounds that they cannot find a translator. Life sucks when you're a Yu-Gi-Oh fan who loves the original but cannot stand the imminent butchering of the new series and the rest of the YGO DM series.
