Also, I'm attempting to fix up some of my icons, but Kairi's are turning out better than Ben's are--still not that great, but at least they're better than they were before due to crappy video quality. I need to snag "War of the Worlds" to get better-quality caps of some of the stuff I have for Ben.
Been playing with the contrast for Olette's and redid one of Kairi's playing with it. Setting the contrast up 20 helped a lot for Olette's (for Olette, I then did the sat at +20 and Kairi at +30). Maybe if I play with the contrast a little for Ben, I might do better. Still getting a better cap, though.
Don't forget to duplicate the base layer after saturation and set it to Overlay. Then lower the opacity since it'll be too light or too dark. And if it's too dark, just toss another layer, set it to Soft Light and fill with White.
From there it's mostly a play of colors.
Yeah, jacking the contrast and the brightness'll help with Ben's too.
Yep, did that. Contrast is becoming my best friend on these. Kairi's look decent, one of Ben's looks pretty good, the other is still fairly crappy, and Olette's? Are fricking sweet.

Great job on the icons!

And Izumi's come back to roost... and so has Miyako for that matter.
Both of them are carrying high levels of snark that my muses seem to pick up on the way back home. It's odd and somewhat frightening ^_^;;

Hehe, I fear for you. I really do.

Ugh, yeah, sometimes there's nothing one can do with crappy icons. Even the saturation trick I learned sometimes just makes it look like crap.
I could give it a shot, save all of Ben's and run it through the Sat tool to lighten it all up.
