Anticipation

So I just got off the phone with an old high school friend, someone I've known for years but haven't spoken to in ages. Jordi is coming over this afternoon and for the life of me, I wonder if my expectations of him are the same for me.

Both of us are in the medical field though I'm still unemployed. But besides the possible physical changes, I dunno what to think. Last time I saw him it was nearly 5 years ago and he sported giant mutton chop sideburns. The only logical train of thought is that hopefully his wife likes em.

Other than that, he's one of my best friends from the Elementary-Junior High-High School years. I spent years visiting him, helping with chores, playing outside, hiking, and a vivid memory of energetically hacking at giant thistle weeds in their vast garden on their lot was a big one.

I'm wondering what we'll talk about. Old memories? Daily life? Or just simply catch up on lost times.

I'm getting old, turning 28 this year. I wonder if my list of accomplishments are similar in scope to his?

Points to ponder I suppose.
