Ultimate JLU - Idea In Progress

No REAL knowledge is needed for this, but it does pay to have seen the DCAU and read or Wiki up some information on the Ultimate Marvel universe.

I've been debating on various DC/Ult Marvel crossover ideas and hit upon an older-used formula. In the old DC/Marvel crossovers, the concept of separate universes had yet to come into play: Peter could hop on a train and be in Gotham within hours. Or Superman would meet up with Captain America and they'd trade stories. So I decided to integrate the DCAU into the Ultimate Universe and see what happens.

Between the time Cap "died" and Peter got his powers, there was a short Golden Age where God-like Superheroes defended the earth from danger, saved and protected the weak. But slowly, the legend died out, and this "Justice League" faded into the back of moldy old school text books.

It's a few months (trades) into Ultimate Spider-Man when a shocker of an announcement sends the financial world into a frenzy. The long-thought to be defunct Wayne Industries has suddenly risen like some kind of fantastic Olympic god, and is back in its place. Tony Stark, easily the richest man in the world, is obviously feeling a little emasculated since he never saw this coming. With its revival comes the elderly Bruce Wayne and his staff/caretaker/errand boy Terry McGinnis and his family.

Bruce tips the financial world on its head when he details just how much investing Wayne Industries did without the general public, or even S.H.I.E.L.D. knowing about it. Bruce is still as hardcore as ever in his old age.

When the fuss dies down, rumors begin in the streets of New York. They say a "bat-man" has been stalking the city, defending the weak. Peter encounters "bat-man" one night during a typical bust and is predictably freaked out how hardcore Batman can be.

Terry is, obviously, Batman, though he plays off of The Batman as he still has a cape and cowl. But its designed explicitly for his own physiological state, able to keep up with the extremely fast teenager he is. Just as a kick in the pants, Terry is older than Peter.

The maddening thing is that they just seemingly came out of nowhere, much to Fury's displeasure as well as the Joint Chiefs and the President himself. Fury prides himself on being on top of every single thing that goes down in the world, and he hates being flat-footed. Wayne Industries old tower, while not quite as big as Stark Towers, is still an imposing sight in the middle of the city, well maintained. Its from there, and Wayne Manor outside of the city where Bruce runs the company. Previous to this point in time, he was traveling.

Thermysceria, Isle of the Amazons sends Diana, Queen of the Amazons and her protoge, Donna Troy to rekindle negociations with the UN citing "We'll give Man's world one more try. But that's it." Wonder Woman broke off negotiations with the UN after proclaiming themselves a sovereign state under the rule of the then-queen Hippolyta. Like the smaller warring countries such as Chong-Mai and Lavertia where Dr. Doom rules, it has a strict rule: No Outsiders. Since they left the UN coalition, the all-woman nation has maintained isolation, waiting for the day when they would rejoin Man's world.

Presiding over the panel is the now-Queen Diana and her "handmaiden" Donna Troy, her cousin. To this end, Donna is the first New Leaguer who acts openly, in comparison to Terry who operates primarily at night. The pair get along splendidly even after running into some of the other super-teams of the New York Area.

The Fastest Man Alive, Wally West aka Flash emerges from the Speed Force, able to master its tremendous "being" as it will. He's so incredibly fast, Pietro wouldn't catch him for years to come. He begins to patrol the entire PLANET on a regular daily basis. Moving so fast for so long has caused Wally not to age a day, and his sense of humor hasn't dulled in years. Like Steve Rogers, he does suffer a little bit from "old man" syndrome, but is easily adaptable, his speech changing from 1940's slang to 2008 slang. He gets a job in his guise of "Barry Allen" as a CSI.

The Hulk Rampage near Queens that Peter is involved in seems hopeless for a pack of bystanders as the Hulk is bearing down on them. But a elderly Chinese man steps forward and grapples with the Hulk, changing himself into a tremendous green dragon. J'onn Jonzz has emerged from his long solitude and human life. Armed with practical knowledge of the world plus mastery of all sorts of technology from the mundane to the unique, J'onn rejoins the fight as Martian Manhunter. The most vocal, and violent, opponents are the FoH - Friends of Humanity, xenophobic nazi-esque men and women. Fortunately, Bruce has been keeping an eye on the Mutant community go-abouts for years.

John Stewart and Shayera Hol return from their deep-space tour of duty as part of the Lantern Corps. With them they bring their son, the half-thanagarian Rex Stewart - The Green Warhawk Guardian of Earth.

Originally designated Warhawk for his metal exosuit and Thanagarian heritage, Rex earns a place in the Green Lantern Corps. Despite the breach of tradition in solo-posting, the GL Council decides to send him home to Earth as it has been without a Lantern for many years now. During this time, Kyle Rainer is picked up as the third Green Lantern. Rex merges his Green Lantern title with his old Warhawk codename as a compromise between his two heritages. They live in Queens, ironically a few houses down from the Parkers and Watsons.

This Rex is younger, a little more sarcastic and a lot more hot-headed. He and Terry locked horns almost immediately in the few team ups that they have in the city.

And finally, from where he has been living for many a decade, Superman decides it's time to meet up with some of his friends. Kissing Lois as if he was going to work, he soars into the sky above the Artic Circle towards New York.

Superman is at his prime: Kryptonite would barely scratch him, having absorbed so much solar energy. In a word, he is as strong as he was in Kingdom Come, neigh invincible. For the longest time however Lois was proven to be barren, so like Ma and Pa Kent, they adopted a young boy who grew up to be a fine young man. Still a little brash since its his first time out, the young boy was an orphan whose parents were killed by the Kingpin.

When he was ten, he was granted a great gift as a mighty wizard visited him, citing that there was a great future ahead, filled with happiness and sorrow. With a single word, Billy Kent becomes Captain Marvel - the Mightiest Mortal.

Clark, upon returning to his civilian life with Lois in a small townhouse and is surprised but not upset to find out that Perry White had died and the Daily Planet building long since torn down and rebuilt into the Daily Bugle. Both are a little old technically for re-employment, so after much debate, decide to retire to the North Pole where the new Watchtower will be built and launched from while Billy makes his life as a mild-mannered reporter. There is some confusion since the Captain Marvel that people know is already a defender. After much debate, Billy renames himself "Shazam" in honor of the governing abilities that make up his original form.

Things proceed as per-normal, but soon there is a crisis that involves the formation of the Ultimate JLU composed of Ultimate Shazam, Ultimate Wonder Girl, Ultimate Green Warhawk and Ultimate Batman Beyond. J'onn joins as the voice of reason and experience to lead the Ultimate JLU with Ultimate Spider-Man being swept into the Ultimate Justice League Unlimited.

The Thanagarians, still enraged after years of defeat return to conqour earth out of spite for the heroes who had once defeated their small-scale invasion back in 1948. This time, there would be nothing that would stand in their way, as they worked undercover agents who were genetically altered to appear as humans into the major keystones of the world.

With S.H.I.E.L.D. disabled and their technicians scrambling to repair it after the previous incident (Grand Theft America) leveled most of it, the Ultimates mostly disbanded and both the X-Men and Fantastic Four having their problems, its up to them to fight the Thanagarians off.

When the dust settles, Fury wants them to work with S.H.I.E.L.D. as part of the Ultimates. Normally they'd say no due to the fact that they'd rather work uninhibited, but this time they say yes. While not taking direct orders from SHIELD, the Watchtower is mirrored by the Metrotower, the Watchtower acting as a deployment base for the new team. While Fury wouldn't mind calling them all The Ultimates, the new team settles on The Ultimate Justice League Unlimited.

That was a LOT of typing and expanding of ideas.
