Preview - World of Warcraft War of the Soul Gems
I am Alganon the Observer.
I watch worlds as they grow and flourish under the makers plans. From worlds rife with conflict, to worlds that are peaceful and just. I have seen the rise and fall of civilizations, entire worlds come to a beginning and an end. But none has surprised me more than this perfect world that the creators once shaped in their own image.
Wrought from stone, and won from a hard conquest against malignant old gods, they shaped the formless chaos into boundless life. I have seen this world be shattered time and time again, by the power of man and gods. I have seen civilizations grow great, and be consumed within by fire and hatred. And finally, when the time came, I entered Ulduar, and started to observe the world once again.
But something happened I did not expect. The people, now evolved so readily and diverged from the masters plans, began to fight back. I fought them with the powers of the gods mustered to my hands. But in a final decisive blow, they struck, and I finally understand. This world, was full of many things; cruelty, hatred, war, but also peace, love, just things that keep it in a delicate balance.
Now as I look once more after the maddened Aspect of Earth has awakened to his state as the Aspect of Death, I take my leave, wondering just what I could find in the next world over.
I travel worlds to worlds, seeking what ails me. Something is amiss. I cannot peg it down. And finally, I arrive on this world. The humans call it Earth, a simple word used in many ways. And so, settling in, I begin to observe.
I see battles, I see strife. And yet I press on, hoping to find the glimmer of hope that will decide this worlds fate. For if it has diverged too far from the Titan’s path, I will send the Re-Origination Code, Code Omega, and wipe the world clean of all that stand in the way of terrible things.
I see this odd thing, a sect of magicians calling themselves magical girls. I see a little creature. Is it made of Titans? Maybe. It is hard to tell. It cannot see me, but I can watch it, the selfless actions, the death that awaits. I lower my head at the fallen, and press on.
There. That girl. The one who calls herself Madoka.
Oh yes, I have begun to learn names, ever since meeting the one calling himself Brann. This is it, the one that will decide the fate of her world. I can see it now, it will be a great battle.
And so, I wait, and if they fail, I will Re-Originate this world, activating the weapon deep within the depths of their city that sleeps. Their entire island is one giant superweapon, designed to cause the cascade process.
I will wait, for when heroes walk the world, there is always the light that shines deepest within.
