Avatar On Ji Notes

Storm and Fire
Bullet – Two Seconds of Death for Avatar Aang before his 100 year freezing
Effect – A second set of Avatars begin a cycle. Three have been incarnated. 100 years later, Avatar On Ji is born and discovers Avatar Aang in the iceberg alive. Also, an assault on the Southern Water Nation sends Katara and Sokka to the Fire Nation to be hidden from their eyes.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air.

Long ago, the four nations lived in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar master of all four elements could stop them. But when the world needed him the most, he vanished.

That was when the world changed.

The Fire Nation ruthlessly hunted down the next Avatar, and found her living in the Northern Water Tribe. She escaped the ruthless attacks, and the world gained hope for our survival. But all of that changed, and the cycle began anew.

The Fire Nation relaunched a war of aggression against the Earth Kingdom to wipe out the next Avatar. However the lessons of the past were learned, and the Avatar was raised well. However, on the cusp of victory, he perished.

Now the Fire Nation scans its own boundaries for the next Avatar, searching relentlessly, and for once, the Fire Nation realizes how cruel their own people can be.

But perhaps the world can be changed, as a faint hope shines from the depths of an iceberg.

Characters:

Hua Mei – Katara – At the young age of 5 or 6, she and her brother Sokka were sent to a friend of their father Chief Hakoda in an attempt to prevent his children from being killed in a raid on their town. Growing up in the coastal town of Long Lin, Katara has lived half alone, which has given her cause to deal with getting friends in town.

Lee – Sokka – The student of Master Piandao the master swordsman, Sokka is a first-rate swordsman but has the social graces and mannerisms of a sarcastic country boy. While not completely impressive, his creativity impresses most people when it comes down to it. Initially against getting into this crazy plan, he is forced to join the group.

On Ji – a girl of the Fire Nation, she is an only child who grew up as Katara’s friend. Not privy to Katara’s secret until Aang was released from his icy prison, On Ji trusts Katara because of the simple fact that Katara has always been there for her. The third Avatar in the new line stemming from Avatar Aang’s death of a half second, she is barely skilled in her own Firebending..

Aang – the boy in the iceberg, his iceberg floated to the Fire Nation and was released by Katara as she attempted to waterbend him out of it. Hiding in a cave for most of the first part of the storyline, he imparts what he remembers about Airbending to On Ji. His memory is swiss-cheesed from the accidental creation of the new Avatar Line, and he has to journey to the Fire Nation temple in order to learn the truth about his past.

Master Piandao – a member of the Order of the White Lotus, Master Piandao has been Hakoda’s friend since the old days, and teaches Sokka the way of the sword. He uses his contacts along the way to assist the quartet for as long as possible as they make their way across the Fire Nation in search of answers.

Kame – the rotund boy who likes to hide in his collar, he joins On Ji, Katara and their new friend “Kuzon” on the Fire Pilgrimage as he has come of age. Shy and sometimes scared of the world around him, he grows up to be a fine firebender, and like his namesake, becomes a sturdy ally in their journey.
